Welcome to the Harmonious Fist Hung Ga Gung Fu Club website. This site was developed to enlighten anyone that has been curious or interested in this popular southern style of chinese martial arts. First, I'd like to say that there are different versions or factions of the Hung Ga Kuen (Hungs Family Fist) system.
The original started in the Siu-lum Gee (cantonese for Shao-lin Temple). It was mostly practiced by a secret society or clan called "HUNG MUN"(Hung Sect). The second version is called "OLD HUNG GA" or "VILLAGE HUNG GA" which was the main style taught in certain villages in central (southern) China. Then there is the Contemporary Hung Ga version based on one of China's most popular and famous martial artist of his time, the late Great Great Grandmaster of the Hung system "WONG FEI HUNG".
This version is the most widely practiced because of the many movies, novels and legends told about this great martial artist.
